Description

Built to spec, down to the alloy.

Thermocouple and RTD wire in a variety of insulation and conductor sizes, built to a high quality standard. We also manufacture custom wire using alloys and insulation types matched to your application demands for high-volume requirements. Insulation temperature ranges from −328°F to 2350°F (−200°C to 1290°C), and every order ships with NABL calibration certificates.

Thermocouple wire

Thermocouple wire lets temperature be measured electronically. A typical construction pairs two dissimilar metals, electrically joined at the sensing point and connected to a voltage-measuring instrument at the other end. When one junction runs hotter than the other, a thermal electromotive force — measured in millivolts — is produced roughly proportional to the difference between the hot and cold junctions.

RTD lead wire

Typical RTD cable is standard instrumentation cable in two, three or four conductors, or groups of pairs, triads or quads, depending on the RTD type and the number of devices being monitored. Individual or overall shielding is often specified for noise immunity on long runs and in electrically busy plant environments.
